Birthday Week has Arrived!

The tradition of a week-long celebration for Camden's birthday has officially started. Technically he turns 1 on Saturday, but we will celebrate his birthday the entire week by flying a "Happy Birthday, Camden" flag. We had this flag made so we could fly it each year for the week leading up to his birthday. Camden might enjoy it while he is little, but it may be a different story when we are still flying this flag 15 years or so down the road -- and we will, too!!! We have a busy week planned, topped off with his birthday party on Saturday. He is looking forward to seeing his family and friends.

Camden continues to get braver and braver walking. Just yesterday Daddy watched him do circles in the living room while maintaining his balance. He is doing great, but he has to be in the "mood" to walk. Sometimes he just doesn't want to stand and walk -- its much easier to crawl!! We are hoping that he'll be able to demonstrate his new skill at his birthday party.

Friday, the family went down to have dinner with Pa Bailey & Terry. On Saturday, we met the Brass, Baker, & McDaniel (sounds like a great law firm name, huh?)families out for dinner as well. Nana was also there along with Aunt Christy, Uncle Bryan, and the Bailey cousins. Camden enjoyed both nights of dining out with the family.

Brittney came over on Sunday to stay with Camden while Mommy & Daddy went to the Brickyard 400 to watch another disappointing finish to the Nascar race. Unfortunately, Jimmie Johnson won...and we would have liked anyone but Jimmie to win!! Oh well! Camden did get a new Tony Stewart bib!

We'll have a great update next week to highlight the week-long birthday celebration. And speaking of birthdays, Camden would like to wish Nana Browder a very Happy Birthday. Nana celebrates her birthday tomorrow (Tuesday 7/28), and will do so with Camden. She is coming up to stay with Camden tomorrow as well. Happy Birthday, Nana!!
