Preview of Birthday Cake Experience

This weekend we were able to get a sneak peek into how Camden would react with his birthday cake in a few weeks. We were at Emma's birthday party on Saturday and Camden got his own cupcake to eat. Mommy tried scrapping off most of the icing as it was getting close to his bedtime. Aunt Fer Fer, however, had different plans and took the cupcake and smashed it into the icing to ensure it was completely covered. Camden sat on Daddy's lap while he was eating. Daddy thought he would just pick off some pieces and feed it to Camden...well, Camden didn't get that memo. Instead he wanted to do it himself...and he did! He just went after it. He had cake crumbs everywhere, and when Mommy changed him at home she found crumbs in his diaper! That was just a little preview of what we'll get when he dives into his own birthday cake in a few weeks.

Rylee has been getting adjusted to her new surroundings. And we're adjusting her to the "rules" around the Bailey house -- she really does not care about rules, but we keeping informing her of them. Camden really enjoys Rylee. He will go up to her bed and just laugh and laugh. He has also developed a bad habit of trying to feed both Rylee and Tug by dropping bits and pieces of his food onto the floor.

The below picture is of Mommy & Daddy at the No Doubt concert on Friday night. Very good show, but Mommy was still trying to recover from her cold she had late in the week. It appears that the cold has spread to both Camden and Daddy...as they are not feeling 100%. Camden has been running a slight fever and has not his usual self. We can definitely tell he is not up to par. Hopefully it is a short-lived cold. And when did we start getting colds in JULY??? It is all of this wacky weather!!
