Camden's Baptism and First Thanksgiving

This has been a whirl-wind week for Camden. On Monday, the entire family went and delivered groceries to the family we are sponsoring for the holidays. Tuesday and Wednesday were more of the relaxing days, but beginning with Thanksgiving on Thursday it has been non-stop.

Camden's first Thanksgiving was spent at Baa Baa & Grandpa Locke's. He enjoyed sporting his "little turkey" shirt. When we first arrived, there was a ticket outside of the door with Camden's name on it. The instructions said to take this ticket to Grandpa Locke for a surprise. Camden's cousins also had tickets outside the door as well. When everyone had their tickets, Grandpa Locke called out the ticket numbers and each of them were given a light-up Colts mug! Thanks Grandpa Locke!!! While Camden didn't get to enjoy all of Baa Baa's cooking, everyone else did. And Camden looks forward to when he can really eat one of Baa Baa's Thanksgiving meals!!

On Friday, we spent the day at Nana's house. His Bailey cousins were in town and Nana cooked fried chicken (one of daddy's favorites!) for all of them. Delicious!! Camden also got to see Granny Ratts as she came over for the day as well. After dinner, everyone played the game Don't Forget the Lyrics. It was much harder as a board game than it is on tv!! Camden finished the evening watching the finish of the NIT Pre-Season Basketball Championship where Purdue lost in overtime to Oklahoma. Camden was not very happy with that outcome....and neither was his dad!! Oh well, Duke comes to West Lafayette this week -- so they can redeem themselves!!

Saturday was Camden's baptism. He had all kinds of visitors at his house prior to the event for lunch and cake. His baptism followed at Carmel Lutheran Church, and Pastor Haase performed the ceremony. Pastor Haase is the same pastor that confirmed Mommy (in Tucson) and married Mommy & Daddy. This was one of Pastor Haase's last events before he retires, and we are blessed to have him baptize Camden before his retirement.

Pictured below are all of Camden's Godparents with Mommy & Daddy and Pastor Haase. He has 5 Godparents in total: Uncle Bryan and Aunt Christy Bailey, Uncle Chad and Aunt Fer Fer Mitchell, and Uncle Nun Nun Locke.

Today (Sunday), we had Camden's 4 Month pictures taken. Once again he did a great job with the pictures and we should have them back next Sunday. After pictures we came home to watch the Colts game. Camden decided he was tired and napped throughout the majority of the game. After the game we went to the Mithchell's house to celebrate cousin, Ryan's, 3rd birthday! Camden wanted to wish Ryan a very Happy Birthday!!!

Camden still isn't 100% from his ear infection from last week (or there is another cold somewhere in his system), but you couldn't ask for a better baby than he was this week -- especially with all the running around we did to end the week.
