Camden's First Diagnosis...An Ear Infection

On Monday of this week Mommy had to take Camden to the doctor. Something just wasn't right -- he didn't really want his bottle during his feeding time. So Camden went to see Dr. Layman, and found out he had an ear infection on his right ear. He was given amoxicillin to help the ear infection and he is still on it. He has to take it for 10 days. The ear infection doesn't seem to bother him much, though. However, giving him his medicine was interesting. The first dose pretty much came back out just as quickly as it went in!!! We've gotten better at the medicine and now have a cool medicine-giver that has a nipple -- so that makes it very easy for Camden to down his medicine. While he was at the doctor he got weighed. This time he weighed 17lbs. 14oz. So he continues to grow, grow, grow!!

We have been working with Camden over the last several weeks with his Tummy Time. He has never been a big fan of laying on his belly and trying to lift that big Bailey head. He has two different tummy time exercise mats. Aunt Fer Fer bought him a surfboard that has water and toy fish in it. And then we bought him a Disney mat. It reminds us of a sit and spin...except he is on his belly. Camden has made some very good progress and now will just raise his head up and laugh.

The work week was back to normal...Camden stayed with Aunt Fer Fer on Tuesday and Baa Baa came over on Thursday. On Saturday, Mommy and Daddy had Babysitter, Jen, come over to watch Camden for a few hours while they went to dinner...and then grocery shopping. What a Saturday night, huh??!! It was good, however, to get a chance to go to one of our favorite places -- Eddie Merlots.

Finally, today we got all of the Christmas decorations finished up. This was the hardest part, though -- the lights on the house. This was Daddy Bailey's first experience in hanging up lights on the house. We had to call the reserves in for this project. Nana Browder and Rick came up. Nana played with Camden so Mommy could help outside. Rick helped a lot with the lights and they are now all up and lookin' good. Uncle Chad Mitchell had to stop by to bring another extension ladder, so help was coming in all directions! It is all finished and looks great.

The Baileys wanted to wish everyone a fun, safe, and Happy Thanksgiving!!
