Camden Turns 4 Months Old!
With the hectic December schedules we had to consolidate two week
s worth of posts. Sorry we did not get an update posted last week, but we'll make up for it with this week's blog. Since then, Camden turned 4 months old on December 1st. His four month pictures are posted throughout this week's entry. He had his 4-month checkup with Dr. Layman on 12/10 and he continues to tip the scale. He weighed 18 lbs. 8 oz. and was 27 3/4" tall. This once again put him in the upper limits of the baby scale, ranking in the 97th percentile for height and weight. He continues to be well-proportioned. Dr. Layman said he looks great and it was time for us to get tough and not feed Camden throughout the night. We're working on that as we speak -- we'll keep you posted on the progress. In addition, she said we could start Camden on solid foods...introducing 1 food at a time. We did, however, start him on cereal about a week before this appointment. He is still working on the whole concept of eating with a spoon. He'll humor us and take a little bit of cereal, but then will want his bottle to finish off his feeding. Monday evening, Camden spent the evening with Cindy & Derek. Mommy and Daddy had to go hang out with the Colts players at the Westin Hotel downtown. This was a benefit auction put on by the Indianapolis Colts Women Organization to help various charities ar
ound the city. We had an absolute blast
at this event and will continue going to this each year as long as they continue to have it. There was an intimate crowd of about 215 people and then the majority of the Colts players were on hand to sign autographs. Peyton was there to talk to the audience, but he did not go to the player's table to sign autographs. However, after he talked to the crowd, he was surrounded by people wanting an autograph. Kristin continued to wait in line for the other player's autographs while Chad had the camera and went up to Peyton to take pictures. He then thought since he was this close he might as well get an autograph. We got plenty of other autographs as well...including Adam Vinatieri, Hunter the Punter, Matt G
iordano, Dallas Clark, Tony Ugoh, and Jeff Saturday. Bob Sanders, Joseph Addai, & Anthony Gonzalez were also there, but we were unable to get their autographs because they didn't spend that much time at the table. Reggie an
d Marvin were not there. We got to see the Lombardi Trophy and got to try on an authentic Super Bowl Ring. At the end of the night, we won a signed, game-worn jersey of Matt Giordano (#43) through the silent auction -- very nice. We are planning to have it framed for the basement. As you can see, we had quite the night with the Colts while Camden enjoyed hanging out with the Thompsons. Hopefully, we're helping prep them for when they have a baby!! THANKS THOMPSONS!!After a quick night lastnight (for Daddy at least...with more on this later), Camden and Mommy went to Au
nt Fer Fer's to make Christmas Cookies. He joined his cousins to assist with the cutting out and decorating. It looks like he had a ball! Daddy, on the other hand, had to go to the office today. Yes, it is a Sa
turday, but he had an appointment already scheduled earlier in the week. While that was uneventful, it was actually the second time Daddy had been to the office today. He was there earlier in the day...much earlier...like 2:00 AM. He received a call from the alarm company stating that motion sensor alarms were going off in the office. So he had to meet the IMPD there. Once he arrived, the IMPD officers were not there. So he called the alarm company back and they said there has been much more activity with the motion sensors since they last talked to me. They also then had the IMPD come back out to escort me into the premises. Once they led me into the office they quickly pointed their flashlight to the culprits setting off the motion sensor alarms. The culprits were identified as deflating helium balloons that we had blown up on Friday for an office birthday party!! Since the balloons
were deflating, they were being blown around when the heat circulated the office. Quite a funny story, but made for a short evening of rest!!!
That should have been enough of catch up for the two weeks. We'll continue updating weekly from here!
