'Tis the Season....
On Monday and Tuesday of this past week Camden got to stay at home with Daddy while Mommy went to work. Since Tuesday was Veteran's Day, Daddy had the day off. He went ahead and took Monday off as well to make it one long weekend!! During Tuesday's run, Daddy and Camden went to Babies R Us to stock up on more formula and nursery water. It was a quick trip out, but at least it was some different scenery than the living room. It was also raining so we wanted to get back home.On Wednesday evening we all went to a meeting to get information regarding t
he family we will be helping this holiday season. This was a volunteer event that we started doing last year and will continue for many years to come. Camden will be helping out this year. This meeting was at 7:00pm and that is close to Camden's bedtime, but he did very well. He enjoyed seeing his Grandpa Locke and Uncle Nun-Nun, as they were there as well. He fell asleep on the way home, but woke up in time for a bottle at home. He got some good sleep that night and slept in the following morning. Sleeping in for Camden is anything after 7:00am!!
On Friday, the Baileys had a surprise visitor....Danny came to visit for the weekend. Camden enjoyed meeting Danny for the first time. Mommy was supposed to be surprised with this visit, but for some reason she had a hunch he was coming into town. It was good to see him, and we look forward to visiting him in Denver in the future.Camden's first overnight without Mommy and Daddy also occurred this week. Camden went to stay with Grandpa and Baa Baa Locke on Saturday. Mommy and Daddy were hostin
g an engagement party for the future Thompsons at the house. There were quite a few people in attendance, and it marked the first time we ever have run out of food and beverages. Regardless, it was a great event. Camden, on the other hand, was at his own party...and enjoyed spending the night. Unfortunately, he was exposed to IU Basketball while there -- the first basketball exposure for Camden. This is not the "learning" experience we had hoped for Camden....at least not this year! But hey, how about them 10th-Ranked Boilermakers??!!? Not too shabby for the pre-season rankings. Camden just hopes and prays they do not "choke"....something Purdue fans are very familiar with in year's past!!
After an eventful Saturday for the Bailey family, we spent Sunday watching football and putting up Christmas decorations. We got two of the three Christmas trees up, stockings hung, and the (Judy) garland on the stairs. Camden enjoyed looking at the mass-chaos with the Christmas trees, while Mommy was admiring the (Judy) garland around the house!! Tug also enjoys Christmas season very much. Unfortunately, the things he enjoys are things he shouldn't. He loves to play un
der the tree (messing up the tree skirt) and tries to go for the low-hanging ornaments. We moved the ornaments higher this year!! We still have a ways to go since we still need to put the lights on the outside of the house -- this ought to be a good laugh for anyone watching, however!!
