This 2nd week at home with Bennett we've either got this parent thing down, or we have a good baby! We are probably going to go with the second choice!! Bennett has been a very content baby....again, changing diapers and being hungry excluded! He didn't really care for his bath either...but did enjoy getting his head washed though!!
He has had plenty of visitors at home, and been out and about - Costco, Target, and running errands to name a few. Recalling back to when Camden was 2 weeks old, we wouldn't have dare thought about taking him anywhere in public!!! :)
Bennett and Mommy have been going to nursing classes on Wednesday evenings. This helps by giving an accurate assessment of how much weight Bennett is gaining and how much he is eating during a feeding. Well, this week he made it to his birth weight...and beyond. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. at the start of his class this week. So he is doing well gaining weight!!
We've had several visitors throughout the prior weekend and week. Baa Baa continues to help out each day by coming by and taking Camden to school. Nana and Grandma Ratts came up to visit. Uncle Nun Nun and Aunt Kee stopped by to watch some football. Derek, Cindy, and Sloan came by to play/visit. Aunt Chewy has been by a few times. Baa Baa & Papa Locke came over as well. Bennett also got to meet Scott, Maria, Joshua, & Simon Turner this week as well. The bigger boys love to play together with their Power Wheels and other toys. Bennett will be joining them soon enough!
Camden did well in his soccer game last Saturday. This was Bennett's first soccer game that he got to see his big brother play in. He and Mommy watched from the van as it was a little cool outside. Camden scored his first goal. Technically, it is his second goal...but the first goal he actually scored was for the other team!! School is going very well for Camden as well. He enjoys going every day and has a lot of friends he enjoys playing with at school. He is doing very well at cutting things out on the lines and doing much better at writing out his name. This year he is learning lower case letters. He is able to recognize almost all of the alphabet - both upper and lower case. This is something the teachers hope the Pre-K kids can do at the end of the school year.
