Happy 2nd Birthday Camden!

First, we are slackers for not updating this blog as often as we need!! This post will be mostly updating of what is going on. Pictures of Camden's 2nd Birthday party and his 2-Year Pictures will soon follow (promise!).

Yesterday, we celebrated Camden's 2nd Birthday! We started the day continuing the tradition of going out for breakfast the morning of his birthday. Last year it was Cracker Barrel and this year he had French Toast at Bob Evans. Later in the day, he had a Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party and enjoyed himself thoroughly. Mommy & Daddy rented a Bounce House so Camden could "Jumpy, Jumpy". He saw one in the neighborhood a few months back and thought it was pretty cool -- so we had to have one for his birthday party. Camden enjoyed seeing everyone that was able to make it to the party.

Camden Update
His vocabulary continues to grow each and every day. He is now putting short phrases/sentences together and it is enjoyable to hear the new things he will say. Some of our current favorite phrases are: "Come here, Mommy/Daddy/BaaBaa/Nana"...or "Chewy's* car, Silver"....or "Outside, Me"! Sometimes, we can't even believe that he actually says what he does. It picks up on everything, and has an excellent memory.

He still has his own names for everyone. As referenced in the above, Chewy*, is Aunt Fer Fer. At first he called her Chew...and that has since become Chewy. Uncle Bryan is still referred to as "No". Both of these names will probably continue to stick because he doesn't seem to want to change them.

As most 2-year olds are, Camden remains extremely active. We think it is a pretty bad sign when Baa Baa and Nana refer to him as being very active...since, collectively, they have raised 5 kids between them. There never is a dull moment that is for sure.

Camden starts pre-school on September 8th. He will definitely be the youngest in his class since his birthday is right on the cut-off date. He will be going to Noah's Ark at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church on Mondays and Wednesdays. So the teacher phone calls are probably in the near future!! :) He will be in the same class as Kaitlyn Irwin (aka Baby Kate), and he looks forward to all of the interaction with his classmates and teachers.

Other Misc. Updates
After 11 years with GE, Chad has taken a new career direction. He is now working with PaPa Locke in Investment Advisory Service industry. He is thoroughly enjoying this new direction. Kristin continues to remain busy at the hospital and loves her job as well.

Again, this mostly served as an update. Pictures will soon follow.
