We are now headed into the summer months and the warmer weather has been great! Camden has spent much more time outside and loves it. This kid is B-U-S-Y no matter where he is, though. From the moment he wakes up until the last minute before going to bed he is in constant motion. Even though he does things he is not supposed to do (i.e. climb on his picnic table, climb on the kitchen table, climb on the stools, play with the large clock on the wall, and climb into cabinets), he continuly makes us laugh all of the time.
His vocabulary and knowledge has increased tremendously over the past few months. One thing he absolutely loves is a picture book with pictures of everyone in his extended family. He will flip through the book pointing out everyone and saying their name....or what he calls them, anyway. He is also working on his colors - Blue, Purple, & Green are the colors he knows best. We also began introducing him to basic shapes - circle, triangle, and square. He does great with the circle, but refers to the triangle as "Pizza, Pizza"! Speaking of food, this kid amazes us with how quick he is to catch on. We can not pass any McDonalds without Camden seeing the golden arches and yell "Burger, Burger"! You'd think we took him there all of the time, when in fact we don't! He does get his fair share of burgers, but it is amazing how he identifies that sign with burger.
Camden is looking forward to leaving for the Outer Banks later this week for a return trip. He is looking forward to going to the beach and playing in the ocean. He'll be just a little bit busier than he was last year....and much, much more mobile!! Hopefully he does just as well in the car as he did last year. He has several new toys for the car ride!
