The Stomach Bug Finally Gets To Camden

The flu caught up with the little guy this week. On Wednesday night, Camden was getting very restless. He would whine, but we assumed it was due to teething. When Mommy went to feed Camden his night-time cereal, he vomitted before he even took a bite. He was also running a fever between 99-101. Being the first-time parents we are, we called the doctor at 8:00pm. We were informed to continue giving him cold, clear liquids and monitor his temp. Daddy when to Walgreens to stock up on Pedilite -- we had to get every flavor in case Camden preferred one over another. Camden rested well that night and woke up and took some pedilite to help his stomach. On Thursday, he continued with the pedilite throughout the day (without any formula or other food). He seemed to be a little better, but still was not himself. He did have trouble getting to sleep on Thursday night, but rested well once again when he finally fell asleep. Friday, things seemed to be getting back to normal. Camden's appetite was back and we slowly introduced his bottle throughout the day. He was able to hold everything down. We brought back his cereal on Saturday and went back to all foods on Sunday. He still has a cough, but is making good progress with that as well.

Even though he was sick, Camden still played with his toys. It was not near as much as normal, but he still enjoyed his time with his toys. During some of his down time, he watched a Baby Einsteins video. There is this little girl who appears throughout the video, and Camden just lights up when she comes on the screen. The video below was captured to show how he lights up when she comes on the tv. It is very cute!!

On Saturday, Camden got to play with Sam for several hours while Mommy & Daddy went to see Stomp! That is the broadway show where they make a lot of noise with trashcans and many other things. It was a great show! Camden enjoyed seeing Sam, and didn't miss Mommy & Daddy too much!!
