2 Months Old....and Camden's 1st Overnight

As October arrived, Camden turned 2 months old. Cool weather welcomed the month of October, and Camden spent some cool evenings outdoors. The first cool evening was spent at his cousin, Chase's, football game. This was a must-win situation, and Camden needed to be there to cheer him on. He was bundled really well -- almost too well. It was really windy, so Daddy and Camden left after the first quarter. Mommy stayed to represent the family, and ultimately cheered Chase on to victory. Camden looks forward to seeing the playoffs, though!!

COLIC CALM UPDATE

We've been using the colic calm this week, and have found some positive affects. It does relieve hiccups rather quick, and he enjoys taking it. As for the colic, it is not the miracle worker we hoped it'd be, but it does take the edge off. Fortunately for all of us, Camden had a very good week and only seemed to be fussy for a very small portion of the evenings. He even hit a milestone with sleeping by extending his initial night-time sleep to 5.5 hours. He did, however, get into a bad habit later in the week -- he didn't want to go back to sleep after his 4:00 AM feeding. He would eventually fall back to sleep, but it took him awhile.

BABY EINSTEIN

This week we tried out a couple of Baby Einstein DVD's for Camden. He would follow along with the video, but it didn't keep his interest through the entire video. Mommy and Daddy are trying to figure out what it is about those DVD's that people rave about -- it really made no sense. But, it exposes Camden to classical music, puppets, toys, and other fun things. We also got a Baby Einstein CD that has fun songs on it -- he loves these!! He also has two other Baby Einstein CD's that he listens to throughout the night.

CAMDEN'S FIRST OVERNIGHT AND HAY RIDE
We headed up to Uncle Dave and Aunt Lynda's in Northwest Indiana Saturday morning after Camden's first bottle. We planned to stay all night, but kept the car packed in case Camden was not happy with the new surroundings. It was the total opposite. Camden was great, and enjoyed the weekend very much.

The highlight of the weekend was Camden's first hay ride. Once again on a cool night, he needed to get bundled up. He started off asleep, but then woke up to take in the sights. He loved the cool air. After the hay ride, we kept up his bedtime routine with a bath and bottle. He then slept very well. He wanted to thank Uncle Dave and Aunt Lynda for letting him have so much fun!! THANKS!!
