The past few weeks have been extremely hot, with temps steadily in the high 90's. We even hit the 100-Degree mark last week! Camden loves to play outside, so these temps have limited the amount of time playing outside. He has gone to the pool and played in the sprinkler to offset some of the heat and humidity.
In a few days, Camden turns 3! He is looking forward to his birthday party, and his only request (thus far) was to ensure we had another "jumpy-jump" for his party again this year. He finally decided he wanted a Curious George birthday party. He couldn't make up his mind prior to our trip to Party City to see all of the different options. He was torn between Toy Story, Cars, Go Diego, and Curious George. But he seemed to like the Curious George cups and balloons, so he went with the George theme.
We have put together photo books for Camden each year. Here is a view of this year's book.
Summer vacation started with our annual trip to the Outer Banks. The weather was absolutely perfect in OBX. It rained the first day, in the afternoon...and was sunny and warm the rest of the week. Camden had a lot of fun swimming and playing in the sand during the day, and then "crabbing" at dusk. Vacation is when Camden started sleeping in a big-boy bed consistently. Prior to vacation we converted his crib into a toddler bed, but he didn't want to stay in bed. While on vacation, he slept in the bottom bunk and stayed in bed the entire time. Once we got home we fully transitioned him into his big boy room/bed and he has not had an issue staying in bed.
