Camden Starts Pre-School

Today was Camden's first day at Pre-School. And he was very much looking forward to it. About 2 weeks ago, we started the countdown to school. Since then, when asked how long until school he says "Two...weeeeeks." No matter how close it was, he always responded with "2 Weeks." Yesterday, he finally realized that school was indeed very near. We practiced saying all the names of the kids in his class as well as his teachers. He was ready...
When he woke up this morning he was ready to go. He helped Mommy pack his lunch and backpack. Mommy then took him to school and Daddy met them there. He was very excited when he got out, and even more excited when he saw the Irwin girls! He has been looking forward to having Baby Kate in his class.

As we entered his classroom, he took off and started playing right away...not even saying goodbye to Mommy & Daddy. As we left all we could hear was "Are You, La La (Allison)?" La La is not even in his class! :)
Mommy picked him up from school. The 2 year old class has ropes to line up in while being picked up from school. Our child was the one holding the teacher's hand -- they must have figured out that if they let go he's off and running somewhere besides where he needs to be!! He was completely wore out but it looks like he very much enjoyed his first day of school!!

In Other News.... We have been busy gearing up for football season. Camden has already been watching his cousins - Breyden, Chase, & Logan. And now that the preseason is over with, he is looking forward to another Super Bowl run for the Colts (except a VICTORY in the Big Game this time around). Unfortunately, Camden had to suffer through a poor display of football when he watched the Purdue/Notre Dame football game with Daddy. Daddy told him that is NOT how to play...you actually need to BLOCK and TACKLE! Oh well...it is FOOTBALL SEASON!!
"Go Daddy"
As Camden and Daddy are driving in the car, Daddy accelerates a little...and in the back seat Camden says..."Gooo Daddy!" Daddy almost took the car off the road from laughing hysterically.
