We're Still Around....

Nothing like waiting until the end of the second month of the new year to post an updated message!! With the playoffs and a round of family illnesses, we've haven't had the opportunity to post as many updates as we'd like. See, when you're team makes the playoffs it extends your season. And when that team wins and advances to the Super Bowl, that extends the season even longer!! Yes, we may have advanced to the Big Game, but we were unable to finish it off -- losing to the always classy Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. We would be proud of Drew Brees and the Saints any other year -- just not when they were playing the Colts! Regardless, it was a fun season and we had a great turnout for our Super Bowl Party.

February has been a little unkind to our family. First, Kristin was sick with strep throat the week leading up to the Super Bowl, and then Camden came down with the same thing Super Bowl night. We were unaware that he had strep until we took him to the doctor a few days afterward. He was pretty pitiful!! After being on antibiotics, we thought he was getting better - however, he must have caught the bug that has been going around on top of the strep. Unfortunately, we didn't find out about this bug until we were all at church and he decided to get sick in front of the whole congregation!! So, in all, we had about two full weeks of him being sick. It looks like everyone is better now -- Thank Goodness!!

Camden loves to get into everything - EVERYTHING!

This caption says it all -- too cute!

Camden is getting big so quickly. He had his 18 month checkup earlier in the month and he is still in the 95th percentile for his height. He also got another round of vaccinations, and did not even cry when he received his shots. Instead, he just waved and said "Bye" to Nurse Ashley! He is something else!! He doesn't know any strangers -- he waves to everyone, everywhere! He is also very verbal now -- saying things that actually make sense! By looking at pictures he can point out and say everyone's name within our extended family. Of course, he likes to pronounce some names in his own way...i.e. Aunt Fer Fer is known as "Ju,Ju" and Uncle Bryan is "Noooo". Not sure how this came to be, but its pretty funny!
