Super 6 Month Birthday

Camden celebrated his 6 month birthday on Super Bowl Sunday. He thoroughly enjoyed his birthday party...little did he know, it was actually the 3rd Annual Bailey Super Bowl Bash!! He did like having all of the visitors over to his house. Camden didn't quite make it through the entire game. He went to bed just before halftime. And speaking of halftime, our neighbors who were also hosting a Super Bowl party challenged us to a snow ball fight during halftime. It was pretty entertaining....and a new tradition started. Now, we'll just need to make sure it snows each year before the Super Bowl.

Friday we spent the evening going out to eat downtown for PaPa Locke's birthday. Camden did extremely well for being out past his bedtime. By the time we got in the car to head home he was over it, however. But he quickly fell asleep in the car. Once we got home, he changed into his pj's and had a small bottle so we could continue with his bedtime routine. We also got Camden's 6 month pictures taken on Saturday. He did great once again. By now, he is used to seeing the flash of a camera.

Snow blanketed the area earlier in the week. We received between 11 and 12 inches. Camden enjoyed looking out the windows to see the heavy snow fall and the white backyard. He also enjoyed watching Daddy snow plow the driveway with the tractor!

The only new food introduced to Camden this week was sweet potatoes. And boy did he love trying them! After his first bite, he just smiled and giggled. We also went back to peas this week as well. He still downed them like a champ. We stocked up on fruits this week and will be introducing some fruit in his diet later this week. We are probably going to continue with the vegetables and mix the fruit with his cereal.

Camden continues reaching out and grabbing for things. We wants anything we're holding. He particularly likes remote controls and cell phones. Also, while we are at the desk on the computer he enjoys opening the desk drawer and playing with anything he can grab. He also got a little too grabby and pulled off the up arrow key on Daddy's computer. Another intriguing feature Camden enjoys is the ice dispenser on the fridge. He will lean over just to see what is going on there when we are filling up cups of ice. Of course once we're done he tries to grab the cup! He also thoroughly enjoys pulling Mommy's hair!!
