What a COLD week....

It was a cold week here in Indiana...so Camden didn't really venture out much this week. By the weekend, though, it warmed up to the mid 20's! Camden is ready for spring, already!!

Our little guy is doing absolutely great. He has definitely settled into his own routine. He wakes up somewhere around 6:00 am, gets a quick bottle and goes back to sleep until 7:30 or 8:00. Then he plays on his activity mat and watches the Disney Channel. Some of his favorite shows are Handy Manny, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Tigger & Pooh, and Little Einsteins. He then gets his morning bottle and cereal between 9:00 - 10:00am, and should be ready for a nap. He plays in the afternoons (with some quick cat naps), and has his supper and evening bottle around 5:00pm. He then will get his night time cereal & bottle, and then go to bed between 8:00 - 8:30pm. There may be some minor adjustments throughout the day, but he is pretty close to this schedule each day.

Camden had his first taste of real food this week. We started giving him peas! We wanted to start him off with veggies first so he will hopefully enjoy a variety of foods and just not want all the sweet stuff! He took his peas rather well. At first he definitely knew it wasn't his cereal...but kept on eating it. This kid eats extremely well with his spoon. He sees when the spoon is headed towards his mouth and opens it real big! Feeding time is so much fun!

Camden also has picked up a real interest in all types of food & drink. When Mommy & Daddy are eating, he will just sit and watch us take every bite or drink. He will also reach out as if he wanted a sample of what we were eating. He'll follow his hand all the way from the food to your mouth when we're eating. And when we pick up anything to drink...there is that same hand. He understands exactly what we are doing, and wants some of our food too!

On Saturday, Mommy & Daddy had to run plenty of errands so Camden was in his car seat most of the afternoon. We had to stop at Toys R Us to get the toy bin and play mat for his play room downstairs. We're almost done....really! And promise to have some pictures posted on next week's blog entry. It is turning out very well. This little project has stirred our minds about the possibility of adding on to our house -- so he can have the entire playroom for his toys. Right now, he will have to share his toy space with the elliptical machine.

We went to one of Camden's girlfriends' house on Sunday for her big sister's birthday party! Camden enjoyed spending time with Baby Kate and seeing Allison open her birthday presents. He also got to hang out with Shaun Shaun, and enjoyed the birthday party. Afterward, we went to Nana's house to hang out. Nana also got to see Camden eat his peas for dinner.
