The second week certainly flew by...completed by a check-up at the doctor. At the doctor he weighed 8 lbs. even, so he hit his milestone of weight gain in the first two weeks. Everything checked out just fine at the doctor. Dr. Layman said he was doing just great!
Earlier in the week we were able to remove the biliblanket Camden was on for Jaundice. The blanket didn't bother him, but we were estacic -- we were finally able to move around the house and outside.
Breastmilk vs. Forumla
Camden was on breastmilk since he was born. However, we discovered this week that he was not getting enough during each feeding. He would want more every hour to hour and a half. We made the switch to formula later in the week, and Camden has been a new baby ever since. He remains content after each feeding and seems to be on a regular feeding schedule. This also helps with everyone's sleep schedule -- we're all able to sleep at longer intervals!!!
This Week's Trips
Camden was a little more mobile in the second week than the first week. He went to Community North Hospital for his final bilirubin draw, and again for a feeding class later in the week. He went on a walk around the neighborhood, and also sat outside while visiting with Derek and Cindy. On Friday, he visited Daddy's office followed by his doctor's appointment. We topped off that outing with a Wal-Mart stop -- which he was asleep the entire time. Camden loves riding in the car and in his stroller.
