3 year Update & Birthday Party Pics

Another year has passed and Camden is now 3! He had a great time on his birthday and at his birthday party. Summer has been very good as well with a family vacation to Outer Banks, out on the boat, parades, and many hours playing outside.

Camden still has no desire to use the “big-boy” potty. We kept leading up to the training portion by telling him that he needed to start using it after his birthday party. He was on board….until the day after his birthday party! We just keep encouraging him, but he will let us know when he is ready.

His vocabulary continues to grow, and we just have to stop and laugh at many of the things that come out of his mouth. He is never at a loss for words. And he also likes to sing. Some of his current favorite tunes are: “Going to the Chapel”, “Firework”, “Give Me Everything”, and “YMCA”. While “Firework” and “Give Me Everything” are somewhat more current songs, the other two are not. He picked up these songs (and the corresponding dances/activities that follow) by watching Mommy & Daddy’s wedding video about 4 times a day!! He loves the wedding video, but often asks “Who was staying with me while Mommy & Daddy were at the party?”

Camden will begin his second year of pre-school just after Labor Day. He is looking forward to going back to school two days per week. Until then, he is really looking forward to another football season. He will be going to his second Colts game with Mommy & Daddy, and of course watching his big cousins play. This fall, Camden will be seen sporting “Minnesota Golden Gophers” gear for Logan, “New York Giants” gear for Chase, and “Center Grove Trojans” gear for Breyden (starting middle school football, yeah!). In the bigger scheme of things, we’re still brain-washing him to be a Colts and Boilermaker fan!

Overall, things are going well. A lot of activities (outside of football) also accompany us this fall. We’re all looking forward to Uncle Nun Nun and Kee’s (aka Kristen) wedding, and the festivities that lead up to it.

Here are some pictures from his birthday and birthday party....
